I'M A BAND DIRECTOR. CAN I MAKE COPIES OF THIS FOR MY STUDENTS?
As long as you select the Band Director's edition ($8.95), you can make as many copies as you want for your kids. It's the same music, but by selecting this you are supporting this vlog and encouraging me to create more exercises!
HOW SHOULD I TEACH THESE TO MY CLARINET PLAYERS?
Since the auditions are right around the corner, I would have a series of THREE sectionals ASAP. Have the clarinet players play through each page, thoroughly reading the instructions. Once the students get the hang on the exercises, let them loose and allow them to practice on their own.
If you have really strong players, let them practice by themselves immediately.
I'M A STUDENT CLARINET PLAYER. ARE THESE EXERCISES HARD?
This Study Guide works best for students who have been practicing on the All-State Etude and just need to brush up on the tricky sections so that they can be nice and clean for the audition.
If you have been working on the etude and have the MAJORITY of the music under your fingers, then this is the perfect guide for you.
If you JUST started working on this etude.........maybe not so much.
